Being Single. Being Sexual. And Searching for Wholeness.
Are you a Christian single who struggles with sexual purity? Do you find yourself “falling” into sexual sin repeatedly? Is your mind consumed with thoughts of sexual intimacy with others? Well. You’re not alone in your struggle my friend.
The Sexuality of Singleness
Many Christian singles find themselves struggling to remain sexually pure in a hyper-sexualized world. The reality is all of us as human beings have sexual desires and ALL of us (married and single) are in a fight for sexual purity.
According to an article by Preston Sprinkle on The Sexuality of Singleness, “Until God calls you out of singleness into marriage, you are called to steward your singleness as a Christian to the glory of God. Human flourishing doesn’t depend on marriage and it certainly doesn’t depend on sex.”
Living in a Sexualized Culture
The topic of being a Christian single in a very sexualized culture is something the church needs to talk about more. That’s why over my next few podcast episodes, I want to invite you to join me for some very personal and private conversations that I will be having on this topic with my friend Monique (her idea).
A Real Story of a Real Single Struggling with Sexual Purity.
I want to introduce you to my friend Monique. Monique is a 39-year-old single woman who longs to be married and lead a life an abundant life full of love, joy, peace, meaning, purpose, and significance. She had recently decided to go on a journey of discovering her God-given identity, purpose, and worth so she can love God, herself and others wholeheartedly and unapologetically.
Monique is determined to see every promise of God fulfilled in her life and she’s being real vulnerable and honest with her sins, struggles and pain so she can be fully healed, set free and restored.
Join Monique on her Journey toward Sexual Purity, Spiritual Growth and Emotional Wholeness
Over the next few weeks, you’re going to hear about her real struggles, real relationships, past mistakes and past strategies for fulfilling her need to be loved, valued, celebrated and accepted.
In this podcast episode, you’ll hear Monique confess one of her deepest struggles in order to begin her journey of healing and freedom. She’s asked that I share some of our mentoring conversations PUBLICLY so you too could benefit from the biblical insights, advice, and encouragement I’ll be sharing with her.
