Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
November 12, 2020December 7, 2020  by Radhika Cruz

Inclusive Leadership Starts With You.

I believe DARING INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP is wholehearted leadership where those we lead, love, and work with feel AND experience dignity, worth, voice, vote, and value for their authentic selves.

Daring Inclusive Leadership

I’ve heard it said that diversity is being invited to the party whereas inclusion is being asked to dance. If there was ever a time we needed to be more inclusive in our nation, it is now.

Happy National Daughter’s Day
to my one and only daughter in Heaven. 🤍💛
My sweet Janae. @colouremedy

Your life was, continues to be, and always will be a gift to me.

As much as I ache that I cannot hold you here,
I am infinitely grateful that I got to be your mom
and that God entrusted your beautiful life to us for 27 precious years.

The only thing that could have been worse than losing you would have been to never have had you at all.
And so, even through the ache of missing you,
I choose gratitude.

You were a gift from God, and into His loving arms you have returned. I know that this separation is not the end of our story. It is only a pause, a season before restoration.

So today, I celebrate your life, your love, your light, and the gift of being your mom.

And I am especially grateful for the promise that one day, we will have eternity to share in life together again. No more goodbyes. No more grief. Just restoration, reunion, and everlasting love.

Until then, I’ll keep loving you, remembering you, and carrying the gift of your life and love with me.

Happy Daughter’s Day, my sweet Janae.
To be continued… 🤍✨

We ALL would LOVE for God to choose us 🙋🏽‍♀️
to steward great wealth and influence for His glory …
Am I wrong?

BUT what about when God chooses you
to steward great loss, great pain and great sorrow?
Would you LOVE that⁉️
Would you want to be chosen to steward any of that?

This is where I’m at right now…13 months later.
Asking God for His grace and wisdom
on how to best steward this pain and sorrow
that He ultimately chose for me to receive.

I’m still dumbfounded that God chose this for me.
And I’m still learning that there are many many layers to my acceptance and my surrender.

And yet—through it all—
through my tears,
my dumbfoundedness,
my bewilderment
and my heart break..
I still choose to TRUST God with the mystery of it all.
I trust His wisdom. His goodness. His plan.

At one time, those who witnessed Jesus’s death on the cross saw it as the worst thing that could ever have happened. But we know it was THE BEST THING that ever happened. It was a gift. The gift of eternal life.

There are still times when my mind thinks Janae Cruz’s death was the worst thing that has ever happened in my life.
BUT—-
One day—- I will fully understand all the ways it was the BEST thing that could’ve happened for her—and for me.
One day, maybe I will know how it was a gift.

After all, the Bible tells us that
being absent from our bodies
means we are present with God.
How is that not a gift for those who are in Christ?
How is that not THE BEST thing that could happen?
Call me crazy. But that’s what I believe. 💛

What about YOU?
What experience (that you NEVER would’ve chose)..
is God asking you to steward for His glory and for the service and benefit of others?
