Sorry, Not sorry. I will NOT apologize for…
-
The way I show up, stand up, stand out or speak up
-
The way I live, love, lead my life and family
-
The way I think, perceive, process or believe
What if I told you that you had the power to change your story and therefore your life. Would you agree? Outside of God, I believe I hold the most influence concerning whether I stay stuck–or get unstuck in life. The level to which I am willing and able to activate my faith in God will be the level to which I will stay stuck or move forward in life.
The truth is a majority of people don’t like change because it is something beyond their control. Who doesn’t want to control their lives eh? Change is extremely uncomfortable and unpredictable. Yet change is the only constant in life. I love this quote that says:
Over the past few weeks, I have spoken to SO many women who have expressed feeling stuck in life. Feeling ‘stuck’ in life is when you feel you’re unable to achieve the desired progress, results, success, goals or outcomes in some area of your personal or professional life. So how does one get unstuck?
Whether it’s your relationships, emotional well-being, finances or work-life, feeling stuck paralyzes you from making the progress you desire. And this inability to move forward in life causes you to feel discouraged, discontent, disappointed, devastated, distraught and maybe even distressed. So how do you get unstuck?
One of my favorite movies to date is the Greatest Showman. There is just something about this movie that gives me joy and hope. It inspires me, moves me and inspires the dream in my heart. When I first saw the movie with a friend, I was moved to laughter and tears. Why you ask? Well, that actually took me weeks to discover because I had to face off with myself.
So, it’s the month of February and many people have nothing but LOVE or relationships on their minds. But truth be told, forming AND maintaining healthy, thriving and emotionally meaningful relationships with others is not all roses. 🌹🥀 It requires strong social-emotional skills AND an unwavering commitment.
Are you spending a lot of time wishing you were engaged in work that not only energized your mind but most importantly, engaged your heart? For years I was engaged in work that I dreaded. Work that caused me to be physically drained, mentally discouraged and emotionally overwhelmed. Every. Single. Day. I had zero energy left to give my family at the end of my workday.
As I look back over my 40 plus years of life, I’ve realized how much I just drifted through life with no real understanding of my God-given purpose. I simply couldn’t figure out my place in this world. And because I didn’t know WHY I existed, my life felt meaningless, directionless and useless.
For the past few years, I have kicked off the new year by deciding on one word (or theme) to focus my thoughts and efforts on throughout the year. But this year, I decided to start my year off by beginning a vision of the end of my year in mind.
Before I created any new goals, I wanted to have a clear picture in mind of who I wanted to become, where I wanted to go, and what I wanted to accomplish by the end of 2019. Once I had a clear vision of what I wanted to see happen in my life, I knew my goals and actions would follow.
